The Kansas City Chiefs have been nothing short of magnificent this time around. With 12 wins and 5 losses, they have clinched the AFC West. After a crushing defeat against the Bengals, the Chiefs were looking for a win against the Broncos which is exactly what they got out of the encounter.
The Broncos have had a forgettable season and although they had their moments in the first three quarters, they were outplayed in the final few minutes. As a result, the game ended 28-24 in favor of the Chiefs. However, before the game, an incident caught everybody’s attention.
“How Rude”: Brittany Matthews reprimands a rude fan who yelled homophobic slur at Jackson Mahomes
In a video that is making rounds on Twitter, a person can be heard yelling a homophobic slur at Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson. The fan in question can be heard shouting, “Hey, Ma-H–o, Ma-H–o,” while the camera points towards Jackson Mahomes who was standing on the sideline.
Jackson was actually clicking photos of his brother’s fiancée, Brittany Matthews, who responded to the notorious fan by saying, “How rude.” However, Mahomes decided to refrain from replying to the fan and didn’t turn his back. Moreover, neither Mahomes nor Matthews said anything about the incident on any platform.
It is unclear if that fan was removed or not as there is no evidence of security getting involved in the matter. What transpired in the stadium is downright ignorant and cannot be justified at all. After the video went viral, a lot of fans came out in support of Patrick‘s brother and called out the fan in question.
